Elise is 9 months and Gobble Gobble!

Elise is 9 months old (well, a couple weeks ago). She is getting to be such a big girl. She is seriously in love with her brother. She wants to do what he is doing, play with his toys. He makes her laugh real real hard and also cry. She had a good 1st Thanksgiving and we had her 9 month appt with a couple shots. We headed to Dallas and spent Thanksgiving with the Bern's, Idol's and Sassy.

Here are her stats: (Boston's stats at 9 months)
Weight: 19 4/16 lbs. (50th percentile)
Height: 28 in. (50-75th percentile)
Noggin: 46.5 cm (95th percentile)

What Elise is doing these days:
-Crawling like a crazy woman. There was no learning curve with this chick. Once she figured it out, she was off to the races.
-She still just has 1 tooth, but I'm pretty sure there are 3 or 4 coming soon.
-She spits her food while she is eating and Boston eggs her on. So she laughs and spits more. I have to wear an apron...yuck!
-She puts EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING in her mouth. Dirt, wrappers, fuzz...she has an eagle eye and can find the smallest spec of dirt.
-She wakes up at the butt crack of dawn. Somewhere between 4:45 and 5:15 ish. The past 3 days she started pushing a little later. Please say a prayer we'll be out of this phase soon.
-And an extra PS to the big guy upstairs for some longer naps. Her fave is a 30 minute cat nap at home.

Fall Round Up

Oh man - this Bern house has been one busy place these days. I think about doing a blog post every week and just can't seem to get to it. Between work, kids and traveling on the weekends, it seems like we never sit still. I'm going to do a quick update on what's new with each kiddo and then post some pics!

Boston these days:

*He is talking up a storm. Here are some of my faves.

- Wow, cool!

- I don't like that. I need space.

- He yells our names across the house "BLAKE" "HEATHER"!

- Texas Texas, Yeehaw!

- Gig 'em Aggies!

- Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? I mean seriously. Everything gets a why over and over again.

- What's this? Or what's his/her name?

- I like your jammies.
- Move it!

- Mommy, hair down. (for some reason he always wants my hair down and out of a pony)

*He is potty training. He is doing pretty dang good with #1, but not so much with #2. I really hope he starts going in the potty soon and not in has pants. It's GA-ROSSS!

*Oh and with the #2...he says "I want to see it"! Double Gross!

*He is obsessed with jammies. He would wear them all day every day if we'd let him.

*He loves his school, friends and teachers. On the weekends he says "I'm ready to go to school now"

*He's either really good with Elise and shares with her or he'll snag her toys from her, run her over and make her cry!

Elise these days:

*She started crawling a couple weeks ago and she is fast! She is all over the place.

*She is also pulling up on everything and starting to figure out how to cruise.

*Sweet girl also got her first tooth last week and there are a bunch more on the way!

*She has started blowing bubbles with her dinner in her mouth, so then I get to wear it, too. Then Boston will mimic her, she'll crack up and do it more! Oh joy!

*Boston takes a bath with Elise on her bath night and they basically yell at the top of their lungs and laugh at each other.

*She LOVES to swing. She will stay in that thing forever. It's really awesome when Bo will push her and I have them both occupied for a bit.

*She waves with both hands when she sees new people or gets really excited.
