Boston is 2 months old!

Boston is 2 months old. Oh my how time flies. He had his 2 month check up yesterday and got 3 shots. Mama didn't enjoy this. I had to hold his hands while he screamed bloody murder. I'm glad that's over. Here are his stats from his appointment:

Weight: 11.11 lbs
Noggin size: 40.5 cm
Length: 23 in. tall

This weekend Omi and PaPa were here to visit. On Saturday we took a nice drive out to Ski Shores and had yummy burgers on the lake. Then we had date night while Boston stayed home with his Omi and PaPa. We had reservations for sushi at 7pm. We were pretty much done by 7:30, so we decided we should get one more roll and drink to at least have our dinner last an hour long...ha! After walking to 2 bars that weren't even open yet for the night, we found a rooftop bar to have another drink or 2 and we were on our way home by 10:30pm. It was a much tamer night than we would've had PB (pre-Boston), but we really had a great time :)

Sucking and a Smile

Happy Friday! Okay, I get a real kick out of Boston making these slurping noises. Lately if there is no pacifier around or no one to help put it in house mouth he'll just start sucking on his hand. The funny thing is that he can't quite figure out hot to suck on a finger or two, so he'll just shove the whole side of his hand (or both hands) into his mouth and go to town. Cracks me up!

I also got a good shot of him flashing a big smile at me this morning. Usually when I pull some kind of camera out, he just freezes and stares at it.

I've been relentlessly trying to get a good video of Boston smiling. This one is a little dark, but you can see some big smiles. Blake is messing with the little guy and he's loving every minute of it.

My parents are coming in tomorrow, they haven't seen Boston since he was born. They are super excited. They have even graciously agreed to watch Boston on Saturday night so Blake and I can have a little date night :)

Please also continue to pray for my Omi. The surgery went well, but she is still in a lot of pain.

I would also like to welcome Addison Loraine Code into the world! Boston can't wait to meet her and I can't wait to kiss those pretty lips. She is such a pretty girl!

It's been a pretty busy week. We took Boston to church for his first time on Sunday and he didn't make a peep! What an angel :) This week he has really started to coo and smile alot. As soon as I can catch it on video, I'll upload this sweetness. I can't believe he'll already be 7 weeks old on Sunday. He's growing so fast! Enjoy some new cute pics.

One more thing...my Omi is having hip surgery in the morning. Please pray for a safe surgery and a speedy recovery. She has had 5 surgeries in the past two years and has been in so much pain.

These videos are pretty close to the same, but I couldn't choose between them so I'm sharing both :) I love it when he sticks one arm up in the air like Superman.  This has been Boston and my first week alone and it's going great.  He's even moved to his own room this week...such a big boy!!

Happy Easter to our Peeps!

Happy Easter to everyone!  The Bern's came in town this weekend and we had a great time.  I keep forgetting to take pictures of the adults.  There is a few in this batch...I'm so zoned in on the little peanut that I forget about everyone else :)  Boston got to meet his Great Aunt Sassy for the first time and hang out with JoJo, Norbz and Aunt Boobert! 

The past two nights Boston didn't wake up until 6am after we put him to bed.  Praise the Lord!  I think the key is '3 1/2 ounces'.  Both nights he got a bottle and scarfed down 3 1/2 ounces before bed.  This kid is amazing! I hope he keeps it up and it's not a fluke...I'm not sure why we deserve to have such a good sleeper on our hands.  He must take after his mom and dad!

Sooooo, Blake ordered snuggies from Designer Snuggie.com for Sassy and Norby for Christmas.  They just arrived in time for Easter.  Too bad he didn't get one for himself...I think this is a good look!
