6 month Check up

Hi Y'all!  Boston had his 6 month check up today.  I thought I would share his stats.

Weight: 17 lb 1.5 oz (50th percentile)
Height: 26.5 in (50th percentile)
Noggin Size: 44.5 cm (75th percentile)

Here's a snap of him after we got home from the Dr. You can see the band aids from his shots :(

Okay, that's all for now.  We are off to Jensen Beach on Hutchinson Island tomorrow with my parents, my Omi/Opa and Clay and Lindsey.  This packing is going to be the death of me, but soon I will be sitting on the beach with a 'cold one' in my hand :)  Cheers!

Omi to the rescue and H-town

Hi Y'all!  We've been pretty busy the past week.  April has been out (she cracked her rib) since last week.  My Mom (Omi) was a trooper and flew in last minute to watch Boston last week while Blake and I worked.  We had a ton of fun!  We did some decorating in my house and played with the little toot. April will be back tomorrow...praise the Lord.  I worked and took care of Boston today. He wore me out!!

We went to Houston this weekend. A few of us threw a baby shower for Stacey. We stayed with Nissy and got to see all of our H-town peeps.

This is a video of my mom doing Hoppe Hoppe Reiter with Boston.  My Omi and Mom did this with my brother and me when we were little...and I remember loving it.  You can see here that Bo feels the same way :)
I was hoping Boston would be entertained in the swing a bit today, while I was working.  I turned the corner and found this!  He's supposed to be leaning back...not forward like he's gonna try and jump out.

Here are some pics from the past week/weekend.

All Smiles and New Curtains

I feel like Boston is growing like a weed.  He seems HUGE in every picture to me.  Here's a bunch of him over the past week or so.  He's been very smiley!!

So, we figured out how to trick him into liking sweet potatoes.  We just put a little bit in his rice cereal at night.  After the first bite, you can tell he's not quite sure about it, but then he gobbles it all down.  You can see the temperament in this picture is much much better than those with straight up green beans and sweet potatoes.
Blake went to Dallas yesterday for the Red Sox/Rangers game, so Boston and I have been solo.  Here's the toot hangin' out in the Exersaucer
Bath Time!  I'm sure when he is old enough to understand these pictures, he'll be a little embarrassed of this one.  But for now...his rubber ducky is all over the internets!!
It's my favorite when we play after his bath.  He's real giggly and fun!
These are from today! Boston normally really sucks at napping on the weekends and this weekend he's been a rock star.  He let us sleep in until 7:45am, wahoo!  We went to church and I couldn't decide if I should take him to the nursery or bring him to the service with me.  Since I was by myself, I decided I wanted the company.  He was great!  He started singing real real loud during the last song, but besides that he was an angel!

Last weekend my husby was real sweet and helped me put up some new curtains in the living room (instead of going to the lake, might I add).  He was real happy with me when I dropped the drill off the ladder, causing the drill bit to snap in half and it lodge into our wood floors.  Whoops!  Needless to say, the curtains turned out awesome and he gave me permission to re-do the dining room curtains next. Yay!
Here's a before and after!!

Green Beans and Sweet Potatoes

Well folks, we are 0 for 2.  We tried green beans last night and that didn't go over very well, so we thought we would table that one for a few days and try sweet potatoes.  No bueno!  So far Boston pretty much hates veggies.  You can see for yourself below:

Sweet Potatoes:

And this video sums it up!  This is how he acted both nights.

Pool Time and Happy Birthday Beth!

Our travels are finally done for a while!  We are in town 3 out of 4 weekends in August...yahoo!  We went to Dallas this past weekend.  I surprised Beth for her 30th b.day party celebration and than we also surprised her real good with a big party!  Boston stayed with JoJo, Norby and his Dad while I went to the birthday festivities.  We took Boston swimming and he tried out his new float from JoJo.  He loves the water! He's also doing a really great job of sitting up.  He tumbles over if he gets distracted or too excited!  I took this video this morning.  Enjoy!

I surprised Beth at dinner before her surprise party. The hostess distracted her and I sat at the table without her noticing.  She looked up and there I was across the table...it was a pretty smooth move :)
