Delicious Things

I thought I would share the most delicious recipe.  It is from my Mom and I usually make them at Christmas time.  Blake asked me a couple weeks ago "You know those delicious things?  Why haven't I had any yet this year?"...so, I made a double batch.  They really are delicous :)

Delicious Things

Preheat oven to 400 first.

1 sleeve saltines
2 sticks butter
¾ cup brown sugar (packed)
2 cups choc.chips (you can use any kind...milk choco, white choco, dark choco and mint, choco and peanut butter)
Sliced Almonds (or any nuts you like or even crushed peppermint)
Line jelly pan with foil and coat with non-stick spray
Spread with saltines

Butter & sugar --- boil 3 min. until it reaches soft ball stage
Pour over saltines ---spread evenly
Bake 5 min. --- 400 degrees

Sprinkle chips on hot stuff --- let sit 1 min.
Spread Chips with spatula
Press nuts over top
Cool and break up

And Voila!

And I thought I would share a couple a pic of my Christmas tree and mantle, so someone can see it besides just us :)

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
